A Canadian Winter Adventure- Ski touring with snow planes in the wilderness of British Columbia*
our 10 days trip in the Canadian coastal range- combining ski touring from snow planes- is a pioneering program that yet hasn’t been offered by anyone else but us.
The idea was born as we were informed that a colleague of ours became the owner of an alpine cabin in the midst of the British Colombian wilderness. A quick check convinced us that the potential for winter adventures in the area is endless, in a radius of up to 50 km from the hut there are numerous 3000+ m high glaciated summits, the huge Tuidmuir nature reserve, mount Monarch and many other tempting ski runs with no one in site.
The hut that will be our base for our weeks in the wilderness- is fully equipped for a long stay in winter and has a sun terrace as well as a hot tub to relax sore muscles after a long ski touring day. The Nuk Tessli Lake freezes over in the winter and will be our landing pad for our adventures.
