Heidi is the seventh German woman to become an IFMGA fully qualified mountain guide. A local from the Allgäuer Alps, Heidi has learned to ski as soon as she has learned to walk and the nearby mountains in the Austrian Tanheimer valley were her local training platform as she ventured further into rock and mountain climbing. Besides being a competent, safe and professional “all rounder”, Heidi runs the German’s alpine club youth education center in Bad Hindelang.
Romain is the first French mountain guide who has been qualified through the German scheme- a challenge on its own!
If it is not enough, Romain- in his previous life a computer engineer- is a fully qualified climbing and canyoning guide, a very fast ski racer and a base jumper- but above all, a proud Corsican! Romain splits his time between his hometown Grenoble- capital of the French Alps- and his other hometown near Bavella Pass in the island of Corsica where he guides multi pitch climbing on superb Corsican granite or one of the world famous Corsican canyons. Romain is our language specialist- fluent in English, German, Italian/Corsican and of course French (with a bit of Hebrew in between) Romain makes an immediate connection to his clients who appreciate his likable character, sense of humor and professionalism.
