An advanced ice climbing activity for climbers- with single pitch ice climbing experience- who would like to improve their skills and climb some challenging pitches on waterfall ice.
Timetable:
Day 1: Meeting at 17:30 in a hotel in the valley ( val d'anniviers) Welcome talk: course briefing and gear check.
Day 2: Depending on conditions- ether a guided multi pitch climb to rub off the dust, or a single pitch day. Our aim is to rehears ice climbing techniques, and make sure you have a good, solid base before moving on to advanced contents.
Day 3: Multi pitch climbing intro- developing skills and/or a guided climb.
Day 4: "short pitching” on an ice fall- maximizing our efficiency while climbing and at the stance.
Day 5: A long guided multi pitch (difficulty level depends on the personal ability).
Day 6: Check out in the morning, a multi pitch climb with some independent leading. Activity's end around 15:00
